Surely, the 46-259 isn’t the world’s greatest LCD TV but rather a budget unit which is targeting those buyers who do not need a ‘super duper’ television. One drawback that is worth to mention is the TV tuner. The Technika 46-259 has a standard Freeview tuner and not the HD one meaning that even though your TV supports Full HD, you won’t be able to enjoy channels like BBC One, ITV, Channel 4 in high definition because the integrated tuner ‘doesn’t play well’ with HD content. Please note that the latter is a problem if and only if you rely on the built-in tuner. By contrast, if you use Sky, Virgin or Freesat receivers, you are all good.
