Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Vapor-X Overview

A video card that’s currently ranked the second most powerful video card ever produced by AMD and the 7th most powerful video card available at the moment, should need no further presentations, but just in case you’ve missed it, we’re going to highlight what makes it awesome.

The first thing that makes the Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Vapor-X is stand out is its sophisticated cooling system, the famous Vapor-X; the system consists of a large aluminium block of thin foils which capture the heat generated by the GPU with the help of 4 heat-pipes and uses two 90-milimetres fans to dissipate it, being highly efficient and quiet at the same time.

Getting to the numbers, the Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Vapor-X is driven by a graphics core running at 950MHz and 3GB of GDDR5 memory that run at 1250MHz and have a bus width of 384 bits. If you’re not a techie and don’t know what these numbers mean, let’s just say that this card can run most games maxed out, except maybe for a few recently released titles that will only be playable with medium settings.

For the maniacs out there, the Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Vapor-X supports the AMD Eyefinity technology, allowing you to extend your gaming session onto 3 monitors and, if you want to take things to extreme, you can connect up to 4 of these cards in a CrossFire configuration and blow the charts.
