LG 50PV350T Review

The first thing you’ll notice about the LG 50PV350T is that it’s huge. Besides the 50” plasma display, the Razor Frame design also has a say in this, making the TV look even bigger than it actually is. The black glossy design gives it a distinctive look, making it impossible to remain unnoticed.

If you were impressed by the design of this TV, its image quality will definitely blow you away. To put it simple, we have a Full HD 50” plasma display powered by LG’s renowned 600 Hz Sub-Field Driving Dual XD Engine. The 600 Hz motion rate guarantees that you won’t experience any motion blur or flickering, not even during the fastest moving scenes such as high-speed movie scenes or sports.

Image quality is also enhanced by the Intelligent Sensor which automatically adjusts the brightness and colours according to the surrounding lights, ensuring the best possible result in all lighting conditions, as well as saving energy. Additional image customization is available with the help of the other 6 picture modes, each configured for a specific scenario such as movies or sports, along with the two Expert modes that allow you to take full control of all image characteristics, for a total of 9 picture modes.

The audio part was not neglected either, the TV coming with two 10W speakers. The 5 pre-defined sound modes along with the Infinite Surround and Clear Voice 2 technologies ensure that the sound is accurately reproduced, placing you in the middle of the action.

An interesting feature is the integrated Freeview tuner which allows you to enjoy free HD content right away. You can also watch your own high-definition content from a Blu-ray player or a PC connected via the two HDMI ports. It’s a bit of a surprise that the LG 50PV350T comes with only two HDMI ports, while other lower class TVs come with three of four ports, but this is an inconvenient that can be easily overlooked since not many people have countless devices that need to be connected to the TV. An USB 2.0 port ensures additional connectivity, allowing you to connect a thumb drive and enjoy your images, audio files or movie clips easy and convenient.

Another potential disadvantage of the LG 50PV350T is the lack of Internet connectivity, along with an online platform. However, taking the price tag into consideration, the lack of some premium features is quite understandable. After all, the role of a TV should be to deliver the best possible images, and the LG 50PV350T does just that.
